My 72-Hour Fruit Fast Adventure

Hello, I’m Travis Monroe. I want to tell you about my adventure on a 72-hour fruit fast. As a personal trainer and nutrition coach, I love finding new ways to be healthy. I’ve tried other fasts before, like a 48-hour water fast and a 14-day plant-based detox. But the fruit fast was very different. It was hard and surprising, and I learned a lot about detoxing and natural foods. Join me as I share what happened!

Pros of My 72-Hour Fruit Fast

  • Weight Loss: I started the fast at 202 pounds, and by day three, I weighed 195 pounds. The fruit fast helped me lose weight quickly.
  • Less Hunger Cravings: At first, I thought about snacks a lot. But by the third day, my hunger cravings went away. This showed me how well the fruit fast worked.
  • Better Digestion: On the second day, my stomach didn’t feel bloated. The fruit fast helped my digestion and reduced bloating
  • Natural Hydration: Even though I didn’t drink much water, I felt hydrated because fruits have a lot of water. This natural hydration kept me feeling fresh.
  • More Morning Energy: On the second day, I woke up feeling energetic. This helped me start my day strong with a pre-workout snack and a tough leg day. This was a nice surprise!

Cons of My 72-Hour Fruit Fast

  • Hunger Cravings at First: On the first day, I often thought about snacks during my usual eating times. It was hard to stay focused.
  • Low Evening Energy: I felt very tired in the evenings, which made it hard to stay active and get things done.
  • Possible Digestive Issues: While I felt less bloated, the high fiber in fruits cause digestive problems, like more gas or frequent bathroom trips. Some might see this as a good thing, but I count it as a con.

Final Thoughts

My 72-hour fruit fast was a unique and enlightening experience. It showed me both the good things, like weight loss and fewer hunger cravings, and the tough parts, like initial hunger and low energy at night. It’s a great way to detox and stay hydrated naturally, but be aware of possible digestive issues. Overall, the fruit fast taught me a lot about the power of natural foods and their impact on health. If you’re into detoxing or trying something different, give it a try!
